I'm an Ivy League consultant, and can recommend that if you're considering applying for an MBA that you at least talk to a consultant to see what they can potentially offer you in terms of advice. An initial consultation is usually free of charge, and from there you can decide it you want to work with someone or not, but at least you've gotten some free advice.

Looks like this post wasn't responded to for a while, which is a shame! Better late than never so thought I would add that Fortuna Admissions is also an Ivy league admissions consulting company if you are pursuing an MBA. There are lots of us out there normally just referred to as admissions consultants as we all work with Ivy league schools. But we all bring something different to the table. Such as at Fortuna, our entire team are former admissions directors from the top business schools such as HBS, Wharton, NYUStern, Berkeley, INSEAD, LBS, and so on so we know exactly what the admissions committees are looking for in a candidate.
