Hi there,
I have a question about whether my extra curricular experiences are sufficient and if there is a best way to communicate them.
In short, I was very active in extra curricular activities during undergrad but have been far less active over the last few years since I started working full time. Nevertheless, there are two community activities I have been involved with, but they are within the workplace. My contributions still benefit the community, and the hours I put in are outside of work as well as within work, but I'm concerned that these activities won't be perceived as well as work independent activities.
Any thoughts on whether I should be less confident in the impact my ECs will have on my candidacy because of the work affiliation, and if I should approach my application any differently as a result?

Steve,
If your community service or extra-curricular activities were somehow through work, that doesn't take away form them or the impact you may have had. As long as you can show initiative, leadership, and impact, they will "count."
