Hi everyone,
I am hoping to get an assessment of my profile for applying to Kellogg....
Work experience - will be 3.4 years by Sept 2014
Top 2 IT consulting firm - I work as an Application Manager - Technology Change management - Analysing Risk of Projects and plan subsequent action based on the Risk. Handled close to 50 changes and several complex Projects in the last 2 years.
Leading own team (2 members) for the past 1 year and I am the youngest to work as a Change manager for my Client. And the youngest to lead a team in my project
Part time work (3 months as of now) - Consultant for my friends start up. I am involved in identifying the core values, mission/vision, content development for his website, strategy to attract clients etc.
Education - Top 10 colleges in India(One of the Oldest Engineering colleges ) Non IIT - 8.0/10
Diploma Holder in Banking and Finance
Certified Banking Generalist
International High IQ Society member
Top 500 rank in Olympiads in School
Extra curriculars - Theatre Artist, Orator since 3rd grade, have won several competitions, EMCEE at work and college.
Positions of responsibility - College - President/Co founder - Theatre society in college, Treasurer, Organizing committee Lead/member for cultural events in college for 3 years
Work - Event management team Lead , Emergency response team, Service Management team member, Editor -Newsletter
Voluntary work - Teaching Deaf and Dumb students for placements this year / Helping them organize a talent/cultural show.. In charge of marketing.
GMAT - Will give in Aug. Target - 720 plus.
Looking for a career in Management consulting - Strategy
Is Kellogg within hit range this year ? I believe its tough, but i want to apply here.
Would be very helpful If some1 can help me..
Other colleges - Darden/Emory/Duke/NUS/Tepper/Ross

Your chances would be better next year at Kellogg, even assuming you do hit that 720 GMAT. Right now, your most likely acceptance is CMU Tepper, but (I'm assuming you get a least a 720 on the GMAT) you do have a competitive profile for Darden, Emory, Duke, NUS, and Ross if they are willing to accept you with only 3 years of work experience. Duke and Ross in particular tend to value experience.

Thanks Linda! Can you tell me B schools that are more likely to attract younger candidates? Schools which for a few years, have a significant portion of their class on the lower end in terms of years of exp.
