Quick background history: Overall 5.5 years experience in IT as developer and QA. Living in Florida with family. I have a 2 year old baby! Full time working mom. But have been preparing for gmat since mid July. Please see my previous post if possible for my score range so far. My plan till now was to do Part time MBA at University of Florida, sunrise location - Part time MBA. Since I work here in south florida, it would be way easier to manage work, family and Mba. So I thought.
But now I am confused. Should I aim for a better college? I dont see UFL part time mba in many ranking lists. Is it going be of no use Mba?
I am worried I will waste my time and money on an MBA that wont be of much use. So here is a list of my confusion: Please advice which ever one you thin you can. I will appreciate any experince and any reply from you all! Thanks in advance.
Should I consider other part time MBA's from other states? Are there better options than UFL for part time MBA?
If I want to go full time MBA, I have not even taken gmat yet! I have not started appluication process in any shape or form. AM I LATE????????(( ths worries me the most.
If I went full time MBA, anywhere, I have to take my son with me and stay alone. No clue how i will manage college and my baby with out help. how difficult is it?
I am from India. So no family help here.
Taking part time mba at UFL is more convenience for me. ALso I wont end up with any student debt obviosuly since I am working. But I read that part time are not allowed career services. How valueble is part time?
Like I said, any reply advice, experience shared, is highly appreciated. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks.

I am surprised nobody commented.
There is some correlation between the MBA brand name recognition and ROI/experience/job expectations but it is not 100%.
What MBA is not, however, it is not a substitute for work experience. If you are working as a nurse right now and get an MBA, you won't be able to get into finance, banking, or marketing just on the grounds of your MBA. Most companies have slowed down their hiring and people with experience are getting turned down.
The question you have not touched on is your goals and the reason why you are getting an MBA....

I am impressed that you are even considering returning to any school with a young child. I have newborn child and cannot imagine managing the demands of all that you have going on right now.
As a Wharton graduate, I know the allure of the big business schools. Further, being the product of a top program, I have experienced the benefits of graduating from one. I also know the physical and emotional demands of attending such a program and they are greater than you can ever imagine.
If you were alone, I would totally encourage you to shoot high and make the sacrifices to attend the best program that you possibly can. However, with a young child, you have a lot more at stake than just the value of your MBA degree. If I were in your shoes, I would focus on part time options that would allow me to establish a life where I could manage work, school and my children.
I would also not undersell the potential experience you can have at UF. It is a very good school with excellent resources and a great faculty. Even better for you is the fact that your fellow students will also be employed and have busy lives so you will truly be with a peer group who you can relate to. Also, UF is a much better brand and is a much better program than you seem to give it credit for. UF is now a world class university and they are making a lot of strides on improving both their undergraduate and graduate programs. Lastly, graduate school is what you make of it - I had classmates at Wharton who did not take advantage of the school's vast resources and felt as though their investment was not worth it. I had a totally different experience and loved every day I was there and felt so much smarter and better prepared for life at the end of every day.
