New born baby in this club though I had created an account earlier. Planning to take GMAT in 2013. Before taking a deep drive into a new world i wanna get to evaluate my profile.
Total 10+ year of experience in telecom industries. Previously associated with Reliance Telecom,Tata Teleservice limited,Huawei Telecommunication and now working in Nokia Seimens network as a TX lead.
Acad -not decent
Achievement - Represented district team in gymnastic consecutive for 3 years.....
Represented district team in athletics....
Played cricket for state Univ..
Got various recognition in current as well as previous organisation....
I made up my mind to take a chance before time go out of hand further......
I want to know that what are my chances to get into some elite B-School if I will make a decent GMAT score.

Hi Prasannajeet,
With your work experience of 10+ years , you may benefit more from an Executive MBA because EMBA programs are designed for experienced professionals with at least 8-10 years of work experience.
I would not worry about my 10th and 12 grade test scores because they would not matter at this stage of your career. You have talked about your achievements in athletics in your college days.Good. But unless you are pursuing those interests now in some way or the other, you may not be able to rest on your past glory.
Your professional accomplishments ( career progression, leadership roles, international experience etc.) during these 10+ years would be the key factors in your application. Also, you will need to be articulate about your goals and your need of a management degree at this point .
If you get a decent GMAT score (720+) and showcase your candidacy well in your essays, I don't see why you would not be able to get into an elite school.
Good luck with your application.

Getting clarity on your career goals will be even more important for applicants like you with 10+ years of experience. If you post-MBA career goal is a more senior role than the jobs typically offered through campus recruiting, you have to show that you can network and put in effort to find yourself a job without relying on business school's career services much.
You'll have to be ready to explain why MBA, (and implicitly explain why not EMBA) in your essays and during interview.
