Please help me on evaluating my profile:
I would be applying to MBA programs next year R1, so have almost a year with me to work on negative/weak points in the profile (Mostly from work ex point of view)
GMAT: Yet to give, expecting 700+
Education:
Engineering (Pune University): Throughout Distinction, consistently within top 5 in college, Within Top 10 % in University
12th: 80 %
10th: 86 %
Work Ex: Started the career with Fortune 100 company, moved to IT start-up after 1.5 years
Consistent performance awards in 4 years
Received first one in Fortune 100 - youngest ever to receive it ( Selectivity: To be given to 5 people in 2000)
Within start-up, have received tremendous exposure, have led team as well
Lot of examples for delivery ownership & impact of my contributions, appreciation from Director, VP of Engineering
Author various technical papers, white papers
Currently handling strategic project for company, which was won over Big players in IT Services (Based upon technical excellency)
Also now client facing and not just part of team and hence contribute on planning, proposal developments for client
Expecting promotion by this year end
International Exposure:
Short stint in Honk Kong
ECs in College:
Event coordinator for two years for college festivals/events
Participation in various national level technical events
Started new student chapter of ISA (Instrumentation Society of America) equivalent to IEEEE, in college, was vice-president of student chapter.
ECs in Professional Life:
Have been part of various conference on IT/Software
Have been Speaker at 3 software conferences, peer speakers in the same conference were of delivery head, CEO, Senior manager profile. Also have presented organization in these conferences.
Part of CSR group, so participate in CSR activities but it's not frequent
Post MBA Goals:
IT/Strategic Consulting
Target Schools: (I haven't concluded on this and my own research is in progress, so appropriate schools can be suggested)
ISB, Tepper, UCLA, Duke, NUS
Please evaluate my profile and provide suggestions, on which aspects I can improve as I still have one year at hand.
