10+2: 90%, 10th:95.4% (CBSE)
I have worked as a Piping Design Engineer for 22 months in a leading MNC(Oil and Gas sector).Since its not easy to switch profile and for that matter switch job at this young stage in this field but I wanted to,I left it and now voluntarily working for an NGO which is fulfilling and satisfying.I have done few online courses like Competitive Strategy from Munich School of Management
I have decent extracurriculars(team manager for events like Cricket,festivities in the company I worked,as well as at the college level),have been an academic topper throughout.
Which US b-schools would be good to apply considering that I have low work-ex and switched from a decent paying job to voluntary work?

Being female with a good GMAT score is normally a great combo for b-schools, but being Indian will put you in a much more competitive application pool, especially since your career direction seems to have taken a bit of a side road. Depending on your post MBA vision, and how well you can craft a story for why you took the detour/how well it plays into your post MBA plan will determine if they find interest in you despite coming in under the average number of years WE. What you don't want to do is to communicate that you can't get traction in your career so you figure b-school will be your ticket to start over. This would be a sure fire way to get rejected. Try to weave a story which says your choices have been intentional and building towards a plan which b-school can uniquely contribute.
