26 Yrs Age / Indian Male / 7 Years Post Qual WE - Telecom Technical Operations
2nd GMAT 690 -87%ile (Q48, V36, AWA 5, IR 5)
1st GMAT 550 -46%ile (Q44, V23, AWA 4.5)
Extra Curricular –
1.) Dance – Part of Bhangra dance group in school and college. Performed in state level functions.
2.) Got awards for Best Speaker in school. Participated in declamations and debate competitions.
3.) Organised blood donation camps during college and job.
4.) Organised Tree Plantation drive in college. No certificate.
5.) Organised college fest. Anchored too. No certificates.
Academics –
1.) Got triple promotion in school. Only student in school to get triple promoted for academic reasons. Got prizes in school for academics.
2.) Completed 10th in 12 years of age and got 80.8 %, gave tough competition to other students, who were approx 3 year elder.
3.) Completed 12th in 14 years of age with 76.2%.
4.) Completed graduation (B.Tech.) in 18 years of age with 69.3%.
Professional –
1.) Started working in Spice Telecom, a reputed telecom company as Engineer during 7th semester of college at the age of 18 years in Year 2006. Have certificates. Got salary through cheque till hired on rolls.
2.) Hired on rolls of the company on the last day of engineering exam as Engineer Trainee.
3.) Got ‘Letter of appreciation’ from HR Head of Spice Telecom.
4.) Left Spice, joined HCL and handled technical operations of Proximus, a Belgian Mobile Operator as Sr. Specialist-Networks.
5.) Sent to onsite location in Belgium by HCL on Business Visa for 4 weeks to study, understand market/business scenario, discuss with the onsite sales/business development team and knowledge transfer to onshore.
6.) HCL started the process to get my Work Permit for Belgium, but I had to leave HCL and joined Nokia Siemens Networks.
7.) Working in NSN as Sr. Engineer for last 4 years since Year 2009. Key member of Tata Docomo Network Launch team. Got Appreciation Letter in NSN and highly regarded by Client’s Management Team.
Current Role - Operations, Technical Issues resolution, Troubleshooting. In line to get promoted as team lead.
Target Schools - ISB, Booth, Kellogg, Duke, Rotman

You certainly have strengths in your candidacy, but I’d still consider Booth and Kellogg to be extremely high reaches. Duke would likely be a reasonable reach. Rotman would be on-par to reasonable reach range.
Work experience is strong in terms of progression, and your academic track record also. However, given your demographic, I believe you’d need a higher GMAT and more business-focused experience to be competitive at Kellogg and Booth. Also, your goals seem very broad.
For MBA applications, I suggest highlighting your excellent work track record and impacts therefrom, along with any business interface, and making a strong case for your goals.

Thanks Cindy for replying and providing a realistic view.
I plan to apply with GMAT score of 690 only in R2. Currently, I am in process of completing app for ISB R2.
Based on my profile, can you please suggest any other school apart from Duke and Rotman as a reasonable reach school?
