Good evening respected members/experts ,
I have a HUGE problem . My undergraduation GPA is low + I am an Indian and I'm not an IT guy .
(Hope you guys can see it , how all of the above factors would effect my chances to get into even the decent MBA).
Basically ,
- my undergraduation CGPA is 6.5 on 10 from university of bangalore . (which translates to 1.3 GPA as per the table of columbian business school )
Though I was in another course for the first 2 months and then shifted my course , so I lost the classes in the 1st 2months and the internals and in the 4th semester i couldnt attend 2months cause of health issues . Would this suffice ? (I have medical reports for these)
- I got a 320 in my first GMAT . Now I am preparing for another attempt and I seem to score over 650 in my mocktests (
MGMAT and GMAT Prep) . The first attempt I took was without ANY preparation . I still have 2months for GMAT preparation . I am expecting this time to be around 650-710 . (I know i will have to do well in this . but even if i did , undergraduation GPA is a problem )
- Plus I am NOT an IT person
- I also failed in my 11th standard . causing more trouble than expected .
Although , In the essay I plan to convey a story of a person who from failure , found what he really wanted to do (Finance, investing etc..) and has taken steps towards it .
My extra curricular activities are good . I help the orphan in Make a Difference initiative . helping them identify their passions and what they want to do with their lifes . (After I came to know mine , i wanted other also to realize it ) .
Kindly Suggest on how to tackle to above problems and would it be possible with a good workex as an investment banking analyst (for 1 year) and stock broker (2years) . to get inside colleges like ESADE , oxford , ISB .
Requesting ,
