Hey,I'm an Indian and I finished my graduation in the field of electronics and communication with a CGPA of 6.4 out of 10.I ve taken my GMAT twice with scores of 570 680.I'm planning to retake it.I'm working as a placement trainer,addressing more than 1000 college students and I have worked as a Technical Support Engineer for a year.I was a table tennis player in school and college and I ve participated in interschool and intra college competitions.Is my profile sufficient to get into a proper B school?

Hey Sirius,
Well, we need a weeeee bit more info here before we can get into a profile evaluation. Like gender and age, and how long you have been working, and what position you are in, and whether you have any leadership, and what school you went to, and what your goals are, and whether you have any volunteer work especially leadership, and what about international experience?

Wow! That's a lot of stuff! :)

Hi,

As Jon mentioned, would need more information to understand your Chances at the B-Schools or you can try out : https://goo.gl/TqFWKY. 680 is an "ok" score but 720+ is recommended.

You will have to provide details about your employment, your experiences with your peers, your career path, goals, purpose of the MBA, your expectations, your association with the clubs and other societies and many more. However try to improve your GMAT for now because you still have time for R1 of Fall 2015. Concentrate on your GMAT and get a 720+ score. Hope this helps: https://goo.gl/LT72yk

Hey,thanks for the reply.I have been working for two and a half years now.The first year was spent as a Technical support engineer in the field ITES.I had to resolve the issues faced by the customers on their networking devices.In the next one and a half years I have worked with a startup and I ve gone to a lot of Engineering colleges all across India and I have taught the students how to attend placements.I have also mentored small groups in this job.I want to get into the field of marketing,which has always interested me.In my first job i had to deal with a lot of customers,speak to them and get their issues resolved.A lot of my customers were Americans.Interacting with people from the West made me learn new and exciting things about the people and their culture.I had to talk to them differently to convince them.So that made me develop my interpersonal skills.I wanted to take it one step ahead and target a large audience.That made take up the challenging job of a trainer,in which I had to adapt myself to the student's mentality because the mentality of the students change from one city to another.This, I believe has further made me develop my interpersonal and marketing skills.I'm a male and my age is 23.Come MAY I will be 24.When I was in college I was an active member of the English club and have conducted a lot of events for my college mates.I have finished my undergrad in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University.I have participated in the state level table tennis tournament and I have won prizes in the district level table tennis competitions.This is my profile and is there anything else that you would like me to add?

Hey,thanks for the reply.What exactly do you mean by extra curricular activities? Something like being a part of an NGO?
