Hey all!
I'm new to GMAT club as I've recently begun considering b-school. I'd like to get a feel for what schools are good targets for me. I was formerly preparing for law schools (actually applied and was admitted to HLS, other top schools, but wasn't ready to take the plunge in becoming a lawyer) and it was easy to determine my target schools based on LSAT/GPA--this obviously isn't true for b-schools. Here are my stats:
- 3.9+ GPA from flagship public in math and economics.
- 700 GMAT-PREP practice test (45q, 40v). Took it cold and am hoping to get this near 750 by upping my quant score.
- Work as entry level analyst in the economic consulting industry. The firm is well regarded in the industry although not well known in the business world in general. I'd have 1.67 or 2.67 years W/E at time of enrollment depending on when I apply.
- I volunteer in the community; I tutor underprivileged high-school students on the SAT in a poor neighboring city.
My goal is MBB strategy consulting.
Thanks in advance GMAT club!
