GPA - 6.9/10
EDUCATION
2008 passout with MS Physics from Indian Institute of Technology (Among Top 3 in India)
WORK EXPERIENCE
-6+ years in strategy consulting for a small boutique consulting firm. Have been working for the same firm after passing college.
- Extensive experience in agri business consulting advising several entrepreneurs as well established firms in this domain. Created business models for them and
assisted them with implementation support. Worked with farmers on operational improvement initiatives
- Advised several infrastructure companies with their agri infrastructure investment plan
- Created a business model for a new business unit for a client. The unit is driving the majority of revenues currently
- Advised multinationals with their entry strategy in India. Reported directly to CXOs of these multinationals during the assignment
- Worked at grass root level with a micro finance organizations on couple of assignments
-I have no international experience
EXTRA CURRICULAR
- Held several student body positions during college. Nil after that
Target Schools are:
1. ISB Hyderabad India
2. Chicago Booth
3. Kelloggs
4. INSEAD Singapore
I applied in Kelloggs last round last year but could not get through. Interview went well. Infact interviewee called me up 6 months later to discuss a job prospect under him.
My worry is if 690 gmat score would make my candidature weak in my target schools. Have spoken to couple of alums from different schools, their feedback is to try for Gmat one more time but I am not sure if I would be able to improve my verbal score.
Any feedback on my profile and possibility of getting through in these schools will be appreciated.

Your profile is problematic because you are coming across as average and you cannot do this in your applicant pool and expect to get into a top school. Hopefully you have spent the past year since getting rejected by Kellogg getting involved in your community and having an impact outside of work. Top schools will not let you in with zero extra curricular activity since college. The GMAT score is good, but again, in your pool it's below average. Your loyalty is commendable and it appears you have had progressively responsible experience, but my feeling is you are not coming across as the "total" package by showing leadership and impact outside of work.
