Hi there,

First off - so sorry for the delayed response. I was traveling last week on for some CS business and my inbox got away from me! To your two specific questions:

1) Your goals are a bit...cursory. We see this goal a lot. "I want to do consulting for a few years and then start my own business." When I see that, alarm bells go off in my mind. The reason being it shows a fairly high level understanding of consulting and how it will help you. Also, statements like "how CEOs take decisions in such a high level-high stakes scenario" isn't what consultants do unless you're on an engagement from a strategy firm that is helping a CEO navigate a crisis. Generally, you're working with Directors and VP and get access to the C-suite if you're lucky. Have a VERY clear understanding of what consulting ACTUALLY is before you try to communicate your goal.

2) Smaller programs, in general, view reapplicants more positively. That's because they're all about fit and perseverance can be a good thing! As long as you have a compelling reason why, a year later, you're a better fit for their program!

I hope that helps - let me know if you have any other questions! If you need a hand with the process, [sign up for a free consultation] and let's take the convo offline.

Cheers,

Bhavik

Thanks Bhavik, that does help! Will keep that point regarding consulting in my mind.
