Hello,
I'm a 25 year old man from Peru in South America.
I have a BA in Economics from the best university in Peru, graduating in the top 20% of my class.
I have 4 years of work experience in banking, being my last position a financial manager in charged of a team of 3 people, that are in charge of the $2B in funding of our company.
I was also a volunteer for 2 years in a poor village outside the capital, 2 years i was a teacher and the other 2 a team leader, the first one only for 8 teachers of the 5th grade and the second on of the 16 teachers that were in the 5th and 6th grade.
I took a 3 month class in lima ti prepare for my gmat and scored a 680, i don't know if i should retake it or begging with my essays, of which i haven't done almost nothing.
My preference of schools in order are Insead, Stanford, Harvard, LBS, Columbia, Wharton and Chicago.
I know that y score is below the average but i also know that people who apply from my country are almost always below the average in gmat, and still managed to get in beacuse they are compared with other people from the country, so they compete more with the average of the country-region than with the other candidates.
So i wanted to know if i should take the gmat again and aim for R2.
If i get 700 will i make a lot of difference?
