I am 22 & a student of the INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF INDIA (ICAI) ( Indian equivalent of CPA/ACCA) & THE INSTITUTE OF COMPANY SECRETARIES OF INDIA (ICSI) ( Indian equivalent of ISCA of the UK) ( Final level in both courses)
I will be completing my Final exams by Jan 2015. These 2 courses are among the toughest courses in the country with very low pass percentages. I have secured more than 60% in all the exams in both Foundation and Intermediate Level.
I have 3 years work experience in an audit firm as an audit assistant handling Company audit, tax audit, preparing and filing Income Tax returns for various assessees, Management audits,preparing Financial reports etc..
I am also expected to finish my Bachelors in Commerce ( Corporate Affairs & Administration) from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in December 2014. This uni has a tie up with The ICSI where in I've to write only 4 papers and the remaining papers will get credit transfer from my Company Secretaryship course. I intend to take up GMAT & IELTS in February 2015 and am confident to get v.good score.
I have secured Second rank in my County/State in my High School Main exams i.e, 12th Grade with 98.5% ( Tamil Nadu State Board) and secured 94% in my 10th grade (CBSE) and have been a topper throughout my school days.
Plus, I have also excelled in many extra curricular activities with lots of prizes and am proficient in French as well ( It was my second language in High school)
I'd like to pursue Masters in Management/ Finance/ Accounting&Fin/ Strategy&Finance in Sep 2015/ Jan 2016. I am not sure which course will best fit me.
I'd like to get a degree( Mostly 1year or Mac 2yrs if it has double degree option) which will enhance my knowledge in finance/accountancy etc and also ensure good salary with nice job prospects. In the long run I plan to do MBA.
Also,What are my chances of getting into a top uni ?? I have LSE, CEMS, WHU otto Bieschem,NUS, RSM erasmus, IE, HEC, ESSEC,St.gallen on mind. Will American unis recognise my chartered accountancy and accept me? If not, which other unis will consider my good finance background and consider my applications?
I am very much confused now as to which university to apply.
I would also like to know about my chances of securing a scholarship.
