Hi,
Wanted to take your opinion on my profile and what colleges I can apply to.
I am a B.E. Economics graduated of University of Delhi, and have a total work experience of ~5.5 years as of now.
I have worked at McKinsey & Company as a financial research analyst for 2 years out of college (2008-10), 1 year with JPM Investment Banking and now 2.5 years with a private equity fund.
In extra-curricular, I was a part was a part time theater artist and b/w my experience with McKinsey & JPM I took a break and did professional theater and appeared on Television for 2 episodes as a tv artist. I had set up an NGO back in 2009 which works for education empowerment for underprivileged kids and it is now taken over by a government of India registered enterprise with whom I work on and off given that it is on an auto mode.
I wanted to initially apply to Wharton and NYU Stern but those may be a stretch now given my score in not good at all. My long term aspiration is to open my own public market PE fund down the line in the next decade. I am a bit disappointed with my score and not sure which way to go. I am open to US and Asian business schools but don’t think $100,000 to $150,000 will be well spent if I take up an MBA in a mid-tier school.
Class x – 85%
Class 12-91.2%
Undergrad – 57% with a distinction in final year (67% in final year)
Would be great to have your inputs and suggestions. Please help.

Please comment whether your under-graduation (college) was for 15/16 years of education? Most of the programs do ask for 16 years of education. However there are some schools which accept applications with 15 years of education.
Your work experience is very impressive. You have worked with some leading names and achieved few milestones which set you up for aspiring to leading schools. But the scores in under-graduation is non-technical and also scores are average. Which means you need to convince the ADCOM as to what kind of achievements you had in number crunching courses like math/quant, statistics or tougher courses like economics and related courses.
