Graduated from Univ of Pitt (2005) with a GPA of 3.83 in my major and an overall GPA of 3.34
Got a masters in management from the university of phoenix (2012), GPA 3.64
Spent 11 in the military with deployments overseas 3 times (hence the online degree... wanted to keep myself occupied) - Military occupational specialty was in Logistics
Worked for 5 years as a sales manager with a fortune 500 company
Worked for 3 years and a Logistics SME for the government in overseas locations
Now working at a Project Analyst in the healthcare industry managing projects... working in the marketing department of a major healthcare carrier.
I would like to get my MBA and become a Consultant... a professional fixer. I would like to go into companies that are stagnant, figure out why and make recommendations on how to fix the issues by talking to employees, observing operations, examining trends, data, financial data, etc.
I have two schools that I dream of attending....
First Choice: London Business School
Second Choice: Harvard Business School
I need to know what to score on my GMAT to make me a competitive candidate for the schools that I am considering. Thank you in advance!!

As an AA female you are at a big advantage for b-schools since very few AA females apply. This means your competitive pool is smaller, so you really only must stand out in the crowd vs. other AA females. Still, the schools you are targeting like to see high scores indeed, ideally 700+ on the GMAT. Don't think you must absolutely do this, however--it all depends on what the applicant pool looks like when you apply. To be safe, I would add another school or two to my list that aren't so notoriously picky. Sometimes LBS and HBS it's just a crap shoot due to the sheer number of applicants. For example, even though very few AA females apply to b-school, they all apply to HBS, so you will probably be competing against every single highly qualified AA female in the world for HBS. Throw Duke and Tuck into the mix or Kellogg too. You will reach your dream consulting job with any top school.
