Hi,
I need to know if I am realistic in my dreams to pursue MBA from any of the top-15 B-schools of US.
Following is my profile:
Nationality: Indian
Age: 23 yrs.
MBA batch : 2016-2018
GMAT: 700, IR: 6, AWA: 5.5
Acads: 73% in B.E. (Electronics) from University of Mumbai (First class with distinction)
College topper in HSC (junior college)
Passed CFA L2.
Work Experience:
Currently working for Nomura Services as a Business Analyst in the Reference Data Services department (RDS). I have completed 2 years.
Shifting to my dad's business which is an advertisement agency specializing in print media in Client Servicing role (similar to my role at Nomura except for the change in industry)
Extra-currriculars:
1) A guitar player and have cleared 4 levels of exam at Bhartiya Sangeet Samithi
2) I am a level 2 brown belt Karate.
3) I have won numerous awards in Robotics competition during B.E.
Leadership skills:
1) During B.E., headed a couple of tech-fest events apart from organizing seminars and college trips to industries as part of my college's IEEE chapter.
2) Headed the analysis within RDS for Nomura's biggest back-office project.
Career goals:
Having been a Business Analyst at Nomura, I get to be involved in solving problems and handling clients.
Moving to dad's business, I will get more responsibilities in terms of handling clients and solving business problems which are bigger than the one I currently handle.
Post-MBA, I want to be a management consultant, so that I can be part of solving business problems for big MNCs.
