International business certificate Arizona state
4 years total work ex:
2 years M&A, PE at a boutique Mumbai based investment bank (domestic and cross border)- rapid growth, highly recommended
followed by:
2 years entrepreneurship: Hospitality co.
Setup and running a authentic Mexican restaurant concept in Mumbai. Sold the business.
extracurricular:
20+ hours weekly at a recognized NGO- medical services for the underprivileged
college fraternity treasurer
university housing treasurer

Thanks for your message. I reviewed your profile similar to other candidates' profiles when I worked as part of a top tier program's admissions committee.
I believe that your GMAT score falls within the competitive range for Tepper, Fuqua, Ross, Cornell, along with other top 10-15 schools based on our experience last year. My slight concern is your GPA which you achieved at Arizona State, as it may/may not be balanced by your GMAT score. However, since the GPA is only one of six components that you will be evaluated on, it is by no means a "deal-breaker." However, I wanted to be candid about this as well.
Please keep in mind that for the schools mentioned above, it will be imperative that you effectively communicate your personal and professional background, along with your aspirations for business school. Make sure that the other aspects to your applications are produced with unwavering quality. I have read many online posts from candidates with similar backgrounds who were rejected from their dream schools, not due to a gap in their background but due to an inability to effectively share their background and aspirations for an MBA.
Over the past 6+ years, I feel that candidates I worked with who held a similar background to yours with strong exposure in both a boutique and a start-up environment, not to mention exposure to several prominent industries, bring a uniqueness to MBA programs. Your experience at a boutique firm in the finance area coupled with start-up experience in hospitality gives you incredible experience which you want to effectively communicate to the AdComms.
Put your best foot forward and proceed fearlessly!
