Hey jayaramgokul - OK, a lot to work through! We're going to touch on the key points quickly:

1. Extracurricular experience can be additive but it's not nearly as important as many people believe. The work you did with these NGOs sounds like perhaps it was important but it's hard to tell from what you've said. Regardless, you need to be more clear on how you present it (and a lot more concise! you took far too many words to try to convey it to us here, you won't have that luxury in the MBA apps, the space in essays and on the resume is quite limited). If some of this experience is directly related to your career then sure, it could easily fit in with a pitch, but it's not a good idea to cram every little thing into a bschool essay; you want to be selective and strategic.

2. Berkeley Extension courses are a good idea (they won't "nullify" poor performance but they help). If you do a Master's in Finance then it's still possible to later do an MBA but some bschools will wonder why you need both. There's a lot of overlap and it's hard to understand the strategy here. Remember, the MBA is a means to an end; it's not the end in itself. Doing one Master's program because you think it will help you gain admission to a different Master's program doesn't make too much sense to us.

Hope that helps! Great that you're starting early! Good luck with everything and we hope you'll stay in touch!!!

Thank you Sir for all the help.

I will make it a point to include the important portions alone while doing my application. Hope to do well in the GMAT. :)
