Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure Yale would rush a decision because you want them to. Many students are in this position every single year so for them they just may not see you as anything unique. It does not hurt however if you have a waitlist manager at these schools to have a frank discussion with them about your dilemma about wanting to attend but with deadlines approaching you have to make a decision.

This is one of the challenges of applying in different rounds you set yourself up for difficult situations like this one. I think you need to ask yourself if yo would rather not attend business school as a worst case scenario or if you want to play it safe with Cornell. Some applicants put deposits down at multiple schools but that course of action is generally frowned upon. I'd recommend talking to the waitlisted school see if they can accommodate you but be prepared to have to make a tough decision given the unlikelihood of a change in status.
