Travelled to more than 10 countries. Top european schools?

Hello,

I am repeating the question that I asked on accepted.com sub-forum.

I have given my gmat twice and scored 640 (Q48,V30, AWA 4.5) and 650 (Q49,V30, AWA 5.0). I believe that my scores are low, but am counting on experience and other parts of my profile. 

I wish to apply to INSEAD, IMD, LBS or Oxford. I am looking for a career in finance. 

Please could you assess my chances. Should I retake the gmat? 

Here is my detailed profile 

Nationality: Indian 
Age at Sep 2006: 26 yrs 
Qualitifications: Chartered Accountant (India)   
Last Designation: Internal Auditor (reporting to the MD in a flat organisation) 
Experience as at Sep 2006: 6 yrs (excluding 2 years of fulltime articleship ) 

work experience: During the last 2 years, I have travelled and worked in more than 10 countries (in europe, north africa and russia) for a major telecom service provider based in Europe. Before that worked with KPMG India for 3 years. 

GPA: not sure how to calculate it due to a different education system in India. But would be in the top 20% of the class. 

Extra-curricular: 
Have received award from the President of India on achieving highest award for a boy scout in India at the age of 18. Had been training boy scouts until I started travelling. 
Have been school and college captain of the table-tennis (ping-pong) team for 3 and 5 years respectively.

Why are you so focused on international firms? IMD / Oxford maybe within reach, but INSEAD and LBS may be out of reach.

Thanks for the response.

I am not quite sure whether I understood your question correctly. I guess that you meant to ask why am I planning to apply to only european schools, the answer would be that I wish to settle down in Europe and not sure whether studying in the US would help. 

Do you think low gmat score is the only reason that INSEAD and LBS are out of reach? Or is it that some other part of my profile is also weak?

I see. Yes, your profile is quite interesting and compelling except for your GMAT score. That will make it a bit more difficult to get into LBS and INSEAD -- it's not out of the realm of possibility, it's just not probable.
