I got you - so certifications are always professional and MOOCs won't count. But to that point - don't get a professional certificate. You don't know if you'll need them and they come with an opportunity cost. Things like APICS certifications are way overkill for a career you're not even in. And besides, what they teach you you'll learn in an operations concentration anyway. You can take a few MOOCs if you would like BUT ONLY IF you have no other aspect of your profile that needs work. If you need to get more involved or take on more impactful responsibilities at work, etc., that comes first.
