I work as a maintenance engineer and have a work ex of 3.5 years in a chemical company in Mumbai, India. I am planning to apply to b schools this year and have scored 730 on the test that I took in August '14. The specialization I am interested in is operations management. I want to know about certification courses that will strengthen my profile and make me a stronger contender for an MBA in OM. Can you please suggest some certifications that I can go for? I would prefer online certification programs but classroom programs are OK too.

Hey there,
Thanks for the post and happy new year! What exactly are you referring to when you say "certifications"? Some are alternate transcripts, some are professional, some have everything to do with your goals, some have nothing to do with them. So what are you referring to?

By certification I mean any course (classroom, online, MOOCs) at the end of which I will receive a certificate of successful completion. I am talking about professional certifications that are broadly related to operations management. I think it will show my commitment towards attaining an MBA in OM. After creating this thread I did some research on my own and came across certifications provided by APICS. Do you know about any such certification courses?
