IMD Applicants,
IMD has a very unique way of selecting candidates for their MBA Programme. The assessment is being done during the interview process to evaluate the candidate and to make them the part of those 90 selected candidates which allows the candidate to show their leadership qualities, integrity and passion towards an MBA.
IMD has the 4 step process for selecting a candidate in an interview:
1) Personal Interview
2) Impromptu Presentation
3) Case Study and MBA Class Observation and
4) Finally the lunch with the Interviewer.
In Personal Interview, Admission committee asks questions related to the profile, Strengths and weakness of the candidate, achievements they have made in their academics and professional career.
Impromptu Presentation is the second stage where a business topic is being given to the candidate in which one has to make the presentation within 5 minutes and here the areas to be focused are communication skill, knowledge of the candidate, behavioural skill during replying to the questions being asked by the adcom members.
In Case Study, a candidate has to discuss a short case study with other interview candidates, led by the professor. Here again a candidate’s behavioral skill and presentation skill to be noticed.
Candidate has to sit in an MBA Class where they will get an opportunity for MBA Class Observations, they can watch and feel the teaching way of the faculties and again the admission committee will be assessing the candidate’s potential. At last the candidate will have an opportunity to have lunch with the MBA students and they can ask any questions regarding their interviews.
After the assessment the admission committee will discuss internally and will make the results out after 2 weeks of your interview.
