I would wait to finish CFA--completing it before b-school won't really give you extra admission points (they will be equally impressed with your level completions), and you will learn much of what encompasses level 3 in b-school, essentially making it easier to pass when you get out. Also, many firms will sponsor your CFA so you can get time off to study and money to take the exam from your future employer. Certainly if you have these things in place now, you could go ahead and to it, and the completion of the level 3 will certainly help you prepare for b-school, so you really can't lose either way--I am just saying don't complete it only for the purposes of admission because it's not that big an advantage in my view. As for your general plan, I think it's solid. Try to continue seeking leadership roles and get plugged in to your community--make an impact somewhere. You are smart to stick around for more work experience and to potentially get a promotion. Establishing a firm footing in your industry will not only help you get into b-school, but will also help you get hired on the back end. Let us know if we can help you prepare for a run at your target schools when the time comes.
