Hi,
I have been waitlisted on the 2 year MBA program at Babson. I am looking to decide whether to accept this notification or not.
I have also been admitted to the Syracuse Whitman program. Since, i could not find a valid comparison for the two programs online, i am writing in here as Im confused as to whether i should go ahead with writing in to Babson.
My desire is to complete a general management MBA.

Hi there. I'm Zooey from Aringo. There are a few different factors to consider. Firstly, how long do you have before you must give Syracuse an answer? If you have time, then it makes sense to accept the spot for the waitlist, while you research the two programs and decide which is the best fit for you. Besides the program itself, you can look into the location (one is in the major city of Boston, the other is in upstate New York – still a city, but more rural) and the teacher/student ratio, and any other parameters that are important for you. Try also to get in touch with students/alumni of the different programs, and see what they think. If these are your only options, and you must give an answer to Syracuse AND you decide you want Babson, then you can try a ‘Hail Mary’ where you write to Babson, tell them that you need to give Syracuse an answer, and ask them by when they think they will decide, since you prefer them.

It sounds like you are trying to assess and compare the 2 schools, right?
Here are the things you can do to better assess...
-obviously lots of online research and reading and comparing of programs (curriculum; class size; class profile; school/university stats and setting; etc)
-employment statistics at both schools!!
-talk to/get in touch with current students/alum at either school for direct feedback
-you can check out US NEws & World Report rankings for more stats and feedback, as well as Businessweek.com b-school profiles
-visiting is always great though I know not always possible
