Hello,
I am in the initial stages of evaluating whether a executive MBA is right for me. I am 43 years old with 20 years of software services experience. I have managed several technical projects across several clients in various countries. I currently have my own small business setup and consult for a client exclusively. The question I have: 1. Am I too old for a executive MBA? and 2. Is GMAT a must for all the ranked schools? (top 15) and 3. Are there advantages/ disadvantages between a dual MBA (like a UCLA Andersen-NUS) vs a single? Appreciate your advise.

- The question isn't really if you are too old. What you've not mentioned is the reason you want to get the MBA done. Statistically speaking, you will be in thin company, but it is not unheard of. Programs such as the PGPMAX at ISB are designed for professionals in your league for instance. Btw, am not sure if you have the right nomenclature here. Check the post here for more on this. If you are targeting a full time course, then yes, its definitely a bit late.
- On paper, most top schools will have the requirement. That said, it will be worthwhile to request for a waiver. Many schools may be willing to do that.
- Again, the answer cannot be provided unless you explain the reasoning for an MBA. For instance if the motive is to get international experience, then a dual MBA may be more useful.

Thanks for the reply. Here is a bit more specifics. I am interested in doing a EMBA since I can't get off my current employment. I live in LA and plan to move to South East Asia in the next 5 years in a non-consulting leadership role. I have been consulting and travelling for a long time. So, I just want to take up a "good leadership position" and hoping the emba would provide the backing for switching over from a *software delivery* focussed role. dual MBA (like emba ucla anderson-nus), I thought would be more ideal. I am also, NOT looking for ROI in terms of remuneration.
