I got a 720 in GMAT (Q50 V38 IR6 AWA6)
CGPA: 8.54
Pursuing Mechanical Engineering along with a minors in Finance, from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. (Currently in 3rd year)
Extra-Curricular:
● Executive Director, Bulls and Bears Club, The Finance and Investments club of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus
● Corroboration and Review Committee (CRC)
● Mentor, at Mentored Research’s Equity Research Initiative
● Editor, Mechanical Association
Want to apply to the top MBA programs and I am also looking for advice that could help strengthen my application, if not now, then probably in the coming years.
Currently looking at Harvard 2+2, Stanford, Yale Silver Scholar program.
In the long term looking forward to applying to Chicago Booth, Wharton and others in the same set. (These require work experience, so cannot apply now)
Which round would be a suitable option for me? What should I do now to increase my chances? What are my chances with the current profile?
Post MBA goals: Haven't really figured it out. Interested in Consultancy.

The most valuable thing you could do now, whether it be for the early admission programs such as 2+2, or even early career MBA tracks such as the new offerings from Wharton and Chicago (google "early career MBA" at these schools), would be to get as much leadership experience as you can. This can come through on -campus or off campus organizations. Leadership ends up being the key differentiator among applicants to these programs, since leadership is something not easy to get at a young age. If you are able to rise up within an organization, club or job, especially at an early age, you demonstrate the kind of passion and work ethic that others notice, and that b-schools value. Of course you don't have to graduate to get work experience and my experience with these early entry programs is that most applicants have some kind of substantial work experience, whether it be part time or voluntary. Showing that you have a "jump" on your consulting career in this way can impress these programs.
