Hi,

I asked this question in general forum, but was directed here, and below is my question.

==========================================================

I have 10 years of experience as a technical consultant in an ERP product. I want to grow from my technical domain, into a consultant or a managerial position.
I thought doing an MBA would give that knowledge and career boost for me.

So, I am planning to do an MBA in IT, and am looking for bschools which are good in this area. I am looking for both online and classroom options.
I did some googling and found the top bschools from USA are in the top 10; but the only scary facts are the tuition fees and the conversion from application to admission.

1. I want to ask if there is an extended list, beyond top 10. Which include universities that are not that costly, but will have good course and teaching.

2. Also, want to know how is the job market for the MBA IT?

3. Is there any other MBA specialisation i can choose which will cater to my requirement, apart from MBA in IT?

My apologies if I have got this wrong, but you seem to be an Indian. If you are indeed an Indian living in India have you considered the full time residential executive MBA programmes run by the IIMs (one year duration)? They would make a lot of sense for you and help you break into IT consulting with firms such as IBM, Accenture, Deloitte etc.

If you live in the US by any chance, explore the part time MBA option.
