Hello,
I am Tony from Nigeria. I currently work at a management consultancy start up (less than 9 months, 17 employees and $1.5m revenues).
I graduated in Petroleum Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria
Scored a 680 (Q45, V38) in my first attempt at the GMAT with minimal preparation. Currently studying for a retake on 11 July 2015 with an aim of 700+
I will be 30yrs old and have 8 years of cumulative work experience by Matriculation (2016).
I acquired three years of audit experience with PwC (rising from Associate to Senior)
Worked as a Financial Controller with oil company (1.5 years)
Returned to PwC to gain some experience in M&A and transactions advisory with a focus on distressed companies (1.5 years)
Extracurriculars:
1 Advisor to a local ride hailing start up
2. Angel investor and board member on a local e-commerce start up
3. Involvement in Church associations (should count for something?)
My target schools are INSEAD, Wharton, Booth and Yale.
Post MBA I intend to return to where I currently work (they are footing half my MBA bill) and develop the business recovery consulting (focused on distressed companies ~ optimized exits, accelerated M&As, Leveraged buy outs etc)
Long term (>5yrs), I would like to enroll in a PhD program and join the academia.
