I am in my IVth semester in a so-so college in India studying Computer Science and Engineering. I just got my results and I have 2 backlogs. My GPA is 6.9 in Indian scale right now. I have no reason as to why I got the backlog. Just plain and simple negligence to work hard.
Lets say in the future, the following things are a give and is surely going to take place:
1. A rising curve of improvement. A GPA of 3/4, i.e CGPA 7.5/10 in Indian scale.
2. A GMAT score of 750+
3. 3 extra curricular activities that show whole hearted hard work and striving for the cause.
4. 4 years work experience in IT sector.
5. An essay that clearly narrates what I have interest in and where I want to land up and what influenced me. Its marketing.
Do I stand a chance of landing somewhere good? At this point, I'm not even considering looking at the top 10 B - Schools. But Top 50?
