Hi there,
Needed some help from ur side.
I have given GMAT twice......600 and 660. ....I know most of the schools take the highest score so thats fine.........I am presently working with the research arm of one of the biggest and most reputed consultancy firms in the world. At present, I have a work ex of 2 years and in case I get admissions next year, I will have a decent work ex of 3 years.
I am planning to apply to schools ranked btwn 7-20 based on Businessweek rankings.....Also I am not considering Columbia, Tuck and MIT.......I know many schools within the 7-20 range are ruled out as i dont have a 12+4 degree being an Indian and I have no plans to pursue post grad as of now.
As far as essays are concerned, i have a broad story line ready...but for examples on leadership skills, team skills which are quite imp...i have more substantial examples from my non professional life....which includes social work, resposnsibilites at college and school level.
So would like to know how do u rate my chances, which schools shld i apply and whether the absence of concrete examples in work would be a concern!
By the way, for ur info, I wanna do a General Management course with a focus in Finance, Strategy and Entreprenurship....and i am just 23.

I'm sorry I missed your post. I also believe you may have called, but you didn't leave a phone number and I didn't see your earlier post.
In any case, I still have a few questions. How were your grades as an undergrad? What do you do at the firm where you currently work? Was your GMAT balanced?

Sorry missed out on your reply as was not in office for a few days.
How were your grades as an undergrad? - 73% in all 3 years individually, which would be roughly like top 5% of the percentile - the number of people who give commerce exams in Delhi are roughly 10000 from 80 diff colleges
What do you do at the firm where you currently work? - I am an analyst helping consultants on various engagements - data collection, analysis, synthesis and stuff. However at the same time I am handling various responsibilities - coaching and mentoring of juniors, capacity management at team level, responsibilities for databases, part of beer bash team, driving knowledge within the team, part of community Initiative Group etc
Was your GMAT balanced? - No. Maths - 48 and English - I think early 30's.
I have already written my essays for CMU and Emory and have sent them to frnds for checks. Presently busy collecting recos and transcripts.
I am finally applying to the above 2, Cornell and NUS.
Any advice would be most welcome.
