Could you kindly help me evaluate my profile and assess my chances?
I will be applying this fall and am hoping to start MBA in Fall 2016.
1. Korean female. 24
2. Work Experience : 2 years at Samsung in Korea after graduating from a top liberal arts college near Boston. Internship experiences majorly government work (I was going to go into public policy but changed my mind my senior year). I also worked at MIT Sloan as an undergraduate assistant during my senior year in college.
3. GMAT:
Unofficial-- 750 (Q 87% , V 94%) , IR - 92% , AWA - waiting.
4. Undergraduate Education:
- Majored in Economics & Minored in Mathematics at a top liberal arts college near Boston
Graduated with 3.5/4.0 (we have a very strict grade deflation policy)
- One year study abroad at London School of Economics in London, UK during my junior year
I failed one of my classes at LSE... How much would this impact my chances at getting into a business school? I passed the course but failed the final exam
5. Target Programs :
MIT
Columbia
NYU
6. Others:
Went to a boarding school in the US. So I lived in the US for approximately 10 years. But now living back home in Korea.

Thanks for sharing your profile! First off, congratulations on a great GMAT score! What did you work on specifically at Samsung? Have you earned any promotions or leadership roles?
Also to clarify, you said you didn't fail a class in UG, you just failed the final and passed the class (C or better)? If that is the case, you shouldn't worry too much about that given you earned a 3.5 overall.
What about your involvement? Any leadership/extracurricular activities you have to share? This will definitely help set you apart. And given your target schools, you'll need to shine here.
Overall, I like your profile. I think it's worth applying to the three schools you listed, however at the end, they are still stretch schools. Definitely worth a shot, but if you're keen on starting school in 2016, you should consider a couple of other programs outside the top 10 as well.
What's missing here, though, are your short and long-term goals. The answer to this will allow for a better assessment of which schools fit your profile. Hope this helps!
