My work experience is as follow:
I did an internship of Capital Hill
Did a 3 month training program with Marriott, wasn't a good fit so I left when the program was over
Did 10 months at Morgan Stanley but was then laid off
I am now working at a boutique real estate investment firm as their sole Financial Analyst. I've closed $200 million in office building acquisitions. I've been here for 2.5 years.
I have an opportunity to join Deloitte's Real Estate Consulting Group, which is more valuation and advisory on behalf of clients. The position would start in October and I'm applying for schools in January (Round 2).
Would it hurt my chances at top schools to change jobs now?

That's a great question! Let us ask you one in turn. What do you want to do after your MBA? What's the story you're going with?
Thanks for the reply. My story is that I was to stay in commercial real estate and work for a large real estate private equity firm or developer.
Those are the types of companies my firm works with now when we do deals. I wouldn't say the Deloitte opportunity is exactly what I want to do but it would pay a little more and Deloitte is a good brand name. I am just worried that I've switched jobs too much. If I take the Deloitte opportunity it would start in October and MBA programs start in August so it would be for less than a year. That's where my concern lies.
