Feel free to give some direction ! And thank you so much for taking out time to evaluate my profile.
Looking to apply in October 2016 in top 30 B schools in USA.
Pakistani Male 25
GMAT: 690
GRE: 167 Q / 156 V
GPA: 3.02/4 from the finest social sciences institution in Pakistan.
Bachelors in Economics | President of student society in university
Total Work Ex: 3 yrs (by October 2016)
Founder of two social ventures: one NGO, which has touched around 13,000 people and impacted 1054 students in the last 2 years; and another is an online portal connecting and facilitating volunteers in Pakistan (this one is just started and we are trying to market it to get more people use it and benefit it through it and help others). First one has been mentioned in newspapers of Pakistan too.
Three publications (marketing\entrepreneurship) in process with professors from US, Canada and New Zealand. But they are not published or accepted in journals yet, but hope to get them published soon in next one year as publications do take time with these journals. All three professors are very renowned in their fields.
Post MBA concentration: Analytics/entrepreneurship after few years with some consultancy job ( should i be that clear in mentioning the whole plan in applications?)
Here are my questions:
1) Should I send GRE or GMAT scores?
2) Do I realistically stand a chance in a top 30 school with my current profile given that my GPA is not that great and last company I am working is small, but has great learning experience to offer for me? Does company name matter for international candidates?
3) What schools do you suggest I apply to? Feel free to mention any just keep some scholarship or loan support in mind.
4) What more can I do to improve my profile?
5) Is it easy to get loans or scholarships for MBA? I am not an American national, so please answer it considering that.
6) My current employer is not that renowned, so should I be planning to go in some MNC?
7) Personally, I feel more comfortable with GRE, but still which should i retake anyone of them and if yes, then which one?
