Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your details. You certainly have a shot at Illinois. Hopefully you've started putting your application together or at least had some time to think about your essay topics. Your credentials put you in the conversation, now it's just up to you and how you articulate your experience to date (both in academia and professional) put you in a position to attend Illinois and earn your MS in accounting. Also, you'll need to be precise in your future goals as you think about where you want to be 3-5 years down the line. Let us know if we can help you with your application this season. Best of luck!

Hi! Thanks for your reply.

I graduated Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea, where I majored in Business Admnistration.

I have 6 months of exchange student experience at SUNY Albany, and about 15 credits in Accounting including all advanced levels.

And my GPA is 4.16 out of 4.5. (Guess it will be around 3.8 out of 4.0)

By the time I apply for Illinois, I will have about 48 months of work-experience.

I am currently working at a non-profit organization, but strictly said, its nearer to the governmental company.

The team where I work is Strategic Management Team, which actually have no relevance to accounting,

but I always have had vast interest in it...

Will there be any chance?

Thank you for the information. Yes, you definitely have a shot at Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I also recommend applying to some other programs to see where else you can get in. If you are interested in working together on your applications, send me a note and we can discuss how I can help! [email protected]
