Hi! I am just wondering what my options are or what other people would do in my situation.
I took the GMAT yesterday and I got a 700.
Quant: 42
Verbal: 44
IR: 8
Total: 700
AWA: 6
GPA 3.51
I am a kindergarten teacher in Kansas City. I want to go to business school and I want to learn about Marketing. I have work experience only in teaching kindergarten for 3 years.
I was only planning on applying to my local school. Now I am wondering if I should try to apply at a few better schools. I don't know if I have a chance because I have no business experience. If I do...what schools might be the best that I have a chance at? Any advice about what I should to would be great!
- Where did you go to college?
The University of Kansas
- What extra-curricular activities do you have? Current leadership positions?
Tutoring, Nanny, Currently teaching English in Thailand (international experience), I work for the kansas city fringe festival on the visual arts committee planning fundraising events. I paint live at events to raise money. I also sell artwork online and at art festivals and I rent out my paintings to large corporate businesses.
- What do you want to do after business school?
I would like to eventually work in social enterprise or education policy. I also want to expand my painting business with marketing and I want to sell my clothing designs on the side.
- Have you been involved in / led any initiatives at school outside of your role?
I raised 10k in technology for my classroom using crowd funding. I also tutored and went to different professional development events.
