Profile Evaluation for Fall'16 GMAT680

Question

Hi, What are my chances for MIS, MBA courses for Fall'16 R2? :-D

Recently wrote my GMAT- Total 680, Q-49 V-34 AWA 5.5 B.tech in Electronics from National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. GPA- 8.5 18 months work exp in IT industry- Data Modelling (31.12.2015) X- 93.33% XII- 87% Have won several stage plays and extempore, Cleared Intermediate art exams, Play Badminton. Which universities should I apply?

The thing is I am missing detail.

I need a LOT more info from you - school name, employer name, titles, promotions, greatest achievements, volunteer work, sports, community service, religious involvement, leadership.. etc. before I can give you a real evaluation.

It will also be very helpful if you can elaborate upon your goals.

Have a look at some of the other very detailed profile requests on this board and do something similar and I'll be happy to get back to you.

PS - The quick answer, based on your GMAT and school is: somewhere in the 20-50 range.

Hey, sorry about the brief info.. Here's the detailed intro

- I have completed my education till +2 from Maharashtra state Board with aforesaid grades. I am a Btech from NIT, Nagpur with GPA 8.5/10 Worked for a MNC for 1.5yrs as an Informatica (Datawarehousing) developer apart from hands on exposure to other related db tools. Extra Curricular activities- Member of Rotary Club, Organiser of College Cultural fests, Won several stage plays and elocution competitions at University level, Recipient of State Scholarships for Meritorius performance in State level exams, Avid swimmer and badminton player, 'A' grade certificate in MCC. P.S -I opted for MIS since my experience is related to Enterprise Information Management, but I have keen interest in pursuing MBA or MIM

Hey dude, Well first of all it helps to decide what it is you want to do.. because which programs you should go for depend on what your goals are. For MIS I'm less of an expert.. but for MiMs and MBAs, well you are a bit between the two. You could do an MiM now it's true, but why not do an MBA in 1-2 years? I feel it's the stronger degree (although MiMs ARE on the rise). Of course for that a higher GMAT would be very very helpful....
