Hi All,
I am currently undergoing huge dilemma regarding my plans for MBA. To introduce myself, I am 28 years old typical IT consultant (working in one of major software outsourcing firm) from India. I have 7.5 years of IT experience. I had also owned a firm (Call center/Bpo) in the past. I came to USA 3 years ago on work visa. I wanted to pursue MBA soon after my graduation. Unfortunately, I had other problems and could go with my plan. Now, I am married and I have a 2 year old child.
I am getting huge support from my family to purse my old dream. So I decided to give a shot and I wrote Gmat last year with score ~ 500. Yes, it was devastating. Now after a year of break, I am trying to fix my issues, which was verbal. I have improved in SC and working on RC now. CR is my favorite and I have 70% success rate and I will surely improve on this.
Coming to my dilemma, I am planning to go for Part time MBA. There are evening/weekend programs which give you exact same degree as Full time program. But it may be cut short by Internship, campus recruitment etc. My question is, will it be worth for all the struggle I put for Gmat and MBA? Will I be in good position at the end of MBA? I am not yet sure on which subject area to pursue. Is there anyone here same as me? Please share your experience and your suggestion. Thank you so much.
Why MBA for me?
• I feel my Current role, which is a Senior Consultant, will not lead me into bright future.
• I want to restart my firm and hoping to get some added benefits from MBA.
• My options for better roles will open. I will be recognized and I will have a better position

Hi pairakesh10,
Nowadays the best business schools are offering very well-organized part-time MBA courses which provide alumni with the same qualification as a full-time MBA degree and taught by the same faculty. a part-time MBA might be a good option for you.
