My story,
I started undergrad at a large state school, I completed 90 units at that school with two F's and a cumulative GPA of 3.03. I was there for five years but because the school was so impacted it was impossible to register for classes. Due to this experience I became unmotivated and frustrated, and needed to make a change in my life.
I transferred schools to a small liberal arts university in Pennsylvania were I have family. I needed to complete 60 units there to graduate. When I graduated I received my B.S in Healthcare Administration which was part of the business program. During those last 60 units I received a 3.93 GPA. I also worked part time at a large hospital, and was on the mens tennis team for two years receiving all conference academic awards. After completing my degree I had a cumulative GPA around 3.2 to 3.3.
After graduating I have worked in the healthcare industry for four years now in a variety of positions, administrative and practice management. However, looking into the future, I would like to have a career in healthcare consulting, so I decided to pursue an MBA with a concentration in healthcare. I worked my tail off for two years to get a 700 GMAT score. My dream school is to attend Penn State Smeal. Would love feedback on chances of admission with possible scholarship. Also any suggestions on other great programs with healthcare MBA within my range. Would be willing to wait and apply for round 1.
