Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. First off, congrats on a killer GMAT score! You have a fairly decent GPA - it's a bit low for a top tier MBA, but given you went to top 10 UG (presumable Ivy), that should count for something. From a pure academic profile perspective, you're definitely in the conversation for a top 10 MBA. I'm still looking for information on your work experience as well as your involvement. Sounds like you're at a reputable firm, but for how long? What have you accomplished there? What is your leadership capacity? Are you an influencer within your team/organization? These are some of the details that help candidates stand out. And telling the AdComm isn't enough. We need to develop a story that clearly outlines where you're coming from, where you want to go, and how an MBA (at your dream school) will help you get there - the more specific you can be, the better. You want to bring in your alumni conversation, your visits with school organizations leaders, discussions with professors on your school visits, etc. While it sounds like you have plenty of volunteer activities to reference, it's important to demonstrate the impact you had doing this work. Leadership capacity is critical here. Were you a participant, or did you lead initiatives to truly add value to the cause?
These are some of the details we push our applicants to discuss. Once we extract the details of the journey, we work diligently to help craft a unique and compelling story by demonstrating your key attributes along with the value you bring to your target schools. If this sounds something you could use help with, feel free to sign up for a free consultation below, we'd love to chat. If you don't think you can use our help, no worries! We still offer a ton of free resources to help you prepare for your R1 applications. Take a look at them
