Hi, thank you in advance for your opinions.
I am just about to get into the work force (starting January 2017) and I am looking for tips on how to best position myself down the line for the best school possible. I'm from Canada and could probably get into the top schools here (Ivey/Rotman) within a year or two, but I'm thinking I would rather wait a bit longer, build myself up a bit more and go for big.
Undergrad school/major: Top Canadian School, Major in Engineering Physics. GPA: 3.92/4.30 (scales to about 3.82/4.00 after converting the A+'s, not sure adcoms do this though)
Other education/coursework: Top Canadian School, Master's in Particle Physics. GPA: 3.90/4.00
Age: 23
Race/Nationality: White/Middle-Eastern mix, Canadian
Sex: Male
Languages: Fluent in English, French, and Farsi, a little bit of Spanish and Swedish
GMAT Score: TBD, but I'm expecting >720 based on strong quant background and 99th percentile SAT
Goal of MBA: One of my idols is Elon Musk...ideally, I would like to leverage my background in science/physics and build a business around cutting edge science. I think I would want to do strategy in a company like Tesla, SpaceX, or the like. If I can't land that out of recruiting, I really love consulting too so doing that for a few years before transitioning to corporate would also be fantastic.
Targets: M7+Tuck, INSEAD. I've always wanted to go to MIT so I've got a bit of a soft spot for Sloan, although H/S and maybe W would take precedence if I'm admitted to both.
Thank you!
