I have graduated in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Durgapur in 2011. I have decent marks in my BTech. I have worked with SAP Labs as a software engineer for 2.5 years, post which I joined Morgan Stanley as developer. I am with MS for 2 years now. I have had fundamental exposure to finance and investment banking. I also have some exposure to project https://gmatclub.com/chat, I had taken my GMAT in February this year and secured 730.
I want to pursue a career in finance and applied for the following courses but unfortunately got rejected everywhere.
1. NUS MBA(pitched finance)
2. HEC MBA(pitched finance)
3. NUS Masters in Financial Engineering
4. Masters in Computational Finance and Risk Management, Washington University
5. MFE, Baruch College
Have I chosen the wrong courses to apply, given my absence of academic background and limited professional exposure in finance?
Please suggest the path forward for me.

Consider the following Anriban:
- Justifying career transitions is always tough. Finance is a broad field. Looking at your essays will help, but unless you show evidence for both interest and skills in your post-MBA field, it is always going to be a challenge. Not just because of the adcom, but from the perspective of future recruiters too.
- Given your experience and academic pedigree, if you play your cards right, am sure you can have a shot at some pretty interesting schools out there. For reasons mentioned here, I won't speculate on that. But get your story right and also put a dose of research/reality on your post-MBA career for your own sake.

Not necessarily I would guess that your story or the rationale for your desire to become a practitioner in finance is probably a bit off. Which signals a problem in your essays. Also as stated above finance is a broad field, maybe your positioning is doing corp finance in an engineering or tech focused field where you can better align your personal and professional passions. But whatever story you tell I think you have to make sure your story is tight and I'd guess this is at the root of your issues.
