Work Experience:
2 years
Work Profile:
- Working in the field of insurance analytics for the past 2 years now
- Received one fast-track promotion from Business Analyst to Senior Business Analyst level
- Received Rising Star Award at work
Educational Qualification:
- B.Tech., Polymer Science and Chemical Technology, Delhi College of Engineering, India
-- Secured 81% in under-grad, which probably translates to 3.3 GPA as per US system
--Second rank holder in my department
- XII: 84%
- X: 93%
Extra Curriculars:
- Writing and Editorial Work: Served as college editor for various societies
- Debating: Participated and won in several Model United Nations (MUNs)
- Social Entrepreneurship: Worked in this field with two NGOs
I am planning to appear for GMAT sometime in June-end.
Kindly let me know about my prospects of Ivy League (Booth, NYU, Ross, LBS, INSEAD etc.) as well as other top 20 colleges.

Hey
I think for Ivy league you might want to consider gaining more experience. May be one to one and half years should do it.
For other top 20 a lot will be defined by Why you want to do an MBA and how is your current experience aligned with the same.
Your current extra curricular experience and the work that you are doing with current NGOs can be a highlight but that depends on how active a role you have.

Thanks for sharing your profile with us. Your work experience - the way it's described here - seems a bit light. Sure, a promotion is great, but it's almost a prerequisite now to have 1-2 promotions under your belt before applying to a top MBA program. I don't get a sense of what you accomplished or your leadership capacity - if Ivy programs are your goal, your leadership experience needs to jump off the page. Your GPA is a bit low, so be sure to set time aside and really prep for your GMAT - you really need to kill it.
I like that you have some extracurricular involvement, however it seems disjointed. What's your story? What does your participation as an editor, winning a few debates, and participation with a couple NGOs mean? Why did you do this? How does this fit with your passion and goals down the line? I know it's tough to fit all this into a forum, but these are questions AdComms are going to ask about your application, so keep this top of mind!
At the moment, the data that I have tells me that top 20 programs are a stretch for you, but the good news is that you have time to improve your profile. Focus on the suggestions I made above and come back to us with an update - we can then potentially discuss more details on school selection and application strategies.
