Hello all,
Thanks in advance for your thoughts. I'm beginning at Columbia Law School this fall and thus am solely interested in Columbia Business School, through the university's joint program. I'd appreciate any identification of strengths to highlight, weaknesses to address, how much higher I realistically need to bump my test score, and thoughts on my odds (i.e. whether admission's worth pursuing given my profile).
About me: white male, late 20s, 7 years as a Marine officer w/ very good rankings and assignments. 3.4 GPA at a normal liberal arts college, though with a healthy upward trend, a few honors and 4 years on the men's soccer team. Current test score is a 325 GRE (170v/155q, converts to 650) from a military program a few years back; studying quant for a retake. Due to limited time available to study and basic familiarity with the GRE already, I plan to stick with it vice the GMAT and explain why in my application. I want an MBA because I ultimately want to practice law in-house as a counsel, and believe the degree will assist me in understanding business operations and offering sound advice.
Thanks again for your thoughts.
