Hi Linda,
I recently took my GMAT and didn't score well (too nevervous). I am planning to retake the GMAT and believe I will score in the range of 680 - 730. With this assumption I would like you to evaluate my profile.
Education
Undergraduate GPA: 3.00/4.00 (1st year: 3.30, 2nd year: 2.7, 3rd year: 2.65, 4th year: 3.35, 5th year: 3.4)
Top 3 university in Canada - Double major: Electrical Engineering and Physics
My 2nd and 3rd year performance drastically dropped due to medical circumstances (back injuries) which forced me to miss lectures and exams. Had a strong come back in my latter years.
Graduate degree GPA: 3.70/4.00
Top 2 engineering program in Canada - Electrical Engineering
Receive the top Government research scholarship in Canada
Published research papers to top conferences
Extracirricular
-Committee member for outreach organization that provides volunteer services such as food bank support, homeless shelter support and tutoring services
-Section Chairman for the IEEE, the largest Electrical Engineering Organization in the world
-Former junior Canadian national team member for kayaking
-won the bronze medal at worlds
-won several national titles
-aspired to be Olympian
-forced to retire due to back injuries (see above)
Work Experience (6 years)
-Tried to start my own company with professor and other graduate students
-failed since we couldn't get funding
-failed because we just didn't have the experience
-My current Company is NASDAQ 100 company with over 15K employees
-Marketing Manager responsible for profit and loss in Asia-Pacific region.
-Responsible for accounts that comprise ~20% of companies revenue
-Grew the revenue of 125% within 3 quarters
-receive highest performance rating within company
-received a nice raise. =)
-blah blah.....
-Promoted to Business Development Manager (within one year)
-manage all new emerging businesses within the company
-working to develop new business unit to support new products, logistics and engineering - the team should be about 100+ people
-will be leading the marketing and business development efforts
-blah blah....
Why a MBA
-learn the skills to become a good entrepeneur (I failed before)
-make investment contacts to support my future endevours
-hone my business development skill to run a success start up that would address emerging markets in Asia and South America.
Schools
I am looking to attend schools with good entrepeneurial, general management and leadership programs. Hopefully top ten. =)
Here is a quick list of school that I would like to attend:
Yale, Columbia, LBS, Wharton, Cornell and Duke.
Please advise on my chances. Thanks in Advance.

A lot depends on your GMAT. Certainly given your GGPA, if you earn a 700+GMAT, then your chances are strong at all the schools on your list. I fit s more in the 680 range, you still have a chance at all of them, but Columbia and Wharton will become less likely admits.

Thanks for you the response. Yes, I recognize the CGPA may be of an issue. Hopefully, the admin. after reviewing my transcript will recognize that the my class average is quite low (~2.6), given the difficulty of the program.
