GMAT: 680
TOEFL: 277
Work Exp( till date) : 3.5 years
Industry: Software
No of companies worked for(inclduing current employer) : 3
Location: India
Current Profile: Module leader(leading a team of 5) and customer/client interaction. working with a team of huge diversity; members from different countires and cultures
Previous jobs responsibilties: Module leader, interaction with US clients, Process management.
Target Schools: Kellogg, Fuqua, CMU, UT Austin, Emory, Cornel, Kenan Flager and LBS
Community Service: working for a NGO for the last 3 years for "Pulse Polio Immunization program covering 20 districts in India" and child literacy program. Manage publications for these organizations as well as funds.
College Level: Chosen University Student Association member, member and treasurer Annual festival organizing committee, Captain hockey team
Goals:
Short Term Goal: I want to work for a big consulting firm preferrably IT consulting firm. Here i can add the learning and experience of B-schools to my work experience. But i am also open to other consulting fields such as strategies.
I want to shift to IT consulting.. I dont have any experience in consulting projects and its almost impossible to shift to a consulting firm without a MBA isnt?
Long Term Goal:
I want to start my own consulting firm in India ten years from now. After 10 years India will be leading the world in IT and consulting will be hugely in demand.
Is my profile good for any of the schools that i have targetted? Please reply as soon as possible.

You have a competitive profile for the schools on your list and have chosen well given your goals. You have a chance at all, but Kellogg is a stretch.

Thanx for the prompt reply:) well my long term goal is to move into consulting preferrably IT consulting. But Admission committee might argue that since i am from IT field why i need MBA degree for that?
To justify this what i have thought is that moving to IT consulting is impossible in India if i dont have any experience in consulting..Also i need to learn the concepts and experience of consulting in a reputed school where i will get to interact with prof with years of experience and industry executives...
Is it fair enough?
