Hi Linda

Thanx for the prompt reply:) well my long term goal is to move into consulting preferrably IT consulting. But Admission committee might argue that since i am from IT field why i need MBA degree for that?

To justify this what i have thought is that moving to IT consulting is impossible in India if i dont have any experience in consulting..Also i need to learn the concepts and experience of consulting in a reputed school where i will get to interact with prof with years of experience and industry executives...

Is it fair enough?

Thanx and Regards
Rahul

I don' t think the adcom will question why you need an MBA to move into IT consulting. IT consulting can be of a strictly technical nature or but it frequently presents a mixture of business and technical issues. You need an MBA to address the business issues. And as you point out you also want to learn consulting techniques at business school.

Fair enough. :-)

Good luck!
