Hi, I got a 680 (Q47, V36, IR - 7) in GMAT, completed my bachelor's in management studies (Marketing) from Mumbai University and am pursuing CFA. I have more than 6 years of business experience in Telecom and Real Estate. I am a Proprietor, a Director and a Partner in three different firms. Currently, I work in the Real Estate development industry in Mumbai, India. I wish to expand further in the real estate finance domain and eventually get into
Hi sagarvd90, thanks for reaching out to ask questions. In terms of your prospects- the 680 makes it hard to stand out in a very challenging pool. However, the CFA could help set you apart as could your work experience. I would look at programs with strong RE options. UNC Kenan-Flagler however having a GMAT closer to 720 would help a lot there. Here's a good article to consider some programs with strong RE: https://find-mba.com/lists/top-business ... eal-estate

Some of the schools there beyond UNC include HKUST, SMU Cox, UCLA, U Alberta, Texas A&M, U Wisconsin, Cornell, NUS

Thank you for your post. It sounds like you have a really interesting profile but I would love to hear more. When you say you are a proprietor, director and partner in three firms, can you shed more light on this? What are the sizes of the firms, how many people do you have under you and what does this mean in terms of revenue, salary etc?

Also what were your grades in undergraduate and would you consider retaking the GMAT and trying to improve your quant? We work with a lot of applicants who have real estate background, partly perhaps because I studied real estate at Wharton. I always like to learn more about the extent of the real estate background before going too far advising.

Best,
