I am a fresher graduate wanted to join mba program next year in India. My target score is 700+.I am thinking to give my gmat on 15th of November 2017. I wanted to know 1) Is that the right time to give gmat or should i choose some earlier date as I could be late in filling the application for colleges?? I have studied for 1 or 2 months for Gmat but in bits and pieces. I am thinking now to give my full time for preparation. 2) Is 3 months 20 days enough?? My last veritas score was 590.
3) Do i have to submit some other essay too during application submission of colleges in India? Since gmat exam itself has essay.
Please someone answer my these 3 questions.
Thanks

Hey dude,
So a few things:
First of all, given your current low score and the timing, I would not suggest you applying this year. Instead, take your time to study and get the BEST possible score you can. From what I see here, realistically speaking this means delaying your application until next year. Which is fine. You are in no rush.

Here are two articles regarding Indians and the GMAT that I think should help you think things through:

Hi there,
It is recommended to take the GMAT relatively early in the process (a few months before you submit your application), so you have time to take it again in case you need to improve your score. Please visit this page for Ideal Timeline for MBA Application: https://aringo.com/ideal-timeline-for-mba-application/

So you mean to say that 8 hours of study for 3 months 20 days is not enough right?

Ahh it might be. Are you doing this full time? I guess you will just have to study and see :)

But anyhow what programs are you intending to apply to? Because without any work experience, there aren't many MBA programs that would fit you...

Best,
JF
