- Manager in Deloitte's transfer pricing group (was promoted to manager within three years of graduating from my undergraduate institution). Will have seven years of work experience when I apply.

Letters of Rec: Should be excellent. I will be having two partners write them who both have PhDs in econ from top institutions.

GMAT: 690

Certifications: CPA

Education:
- Graduated Summa Cum Laude from liberal arts school in a small western state (think Montana, Wyoming, Idaho).
- Cumulative GPA is 3.92.
- Double major in accounting and political economy; double minor in philosophy and natural sciences.

Awards:
- (Big 4 firm) intern case study competition team leader for winning group.
- Outstanding chapter growth (recruitment chair for my fraternity).
- Dean's List (x8).
- 1st place in ethics and professionalism (Business Professionals of America).
- Two years in a row, I won a competitive scholarship that is awarded to the top student in the liberal arts majors (history, political economy, philosophy, etc.).
- Awarded highest academic honors bestowed by the college (above Summa Cum Laude). Five seniors out of a 250 student graduating class were given the award.


Extracurriculars (College):
- President of ENACTUS.
- Director of Intramurals.
- Chairman of Senate Outreach Committee (philanthropy) for the student senate.
- Student senator
- Served as the recruitment chair, philanthropy chair, new member education chair, and alumni chair for my fraternity;
- Bassist for jazz combo (all four years)
- Rugby club for two-years (hurt my shoulder and had to give up playing).
- JDRF Volunteer



Extracurriculars (post-college):
- Mentor at local high school

Interests:
- Skiing
- Outdoors
- Both listening and playing jazz
- Reading

Target Schools: UVA, UNC, UMich, UT Austin. Getting a scholarship is important.


Miscellaneous:
- Neither of my parents graduated from a 4-year college.
- Graduated from a performing arts high school where I studied under a grammy award winning bassist.

Hey there!
You have a very solid and very nice profile there. Great grades, summa cum laude (even if it is a small school), good work in the Big 4. I think your school choice is pretty good for your profile from what I can see. Scholarships are notoriously hard to predict, but you can always try.

Actually if this is an option, probably the one thing you can do that would really boost your profile and increase your chances of getting a scholarship would be if you were applying with a better GMAT. so even if you could get 20-30 points, at this level, it could make a quite huge difference.

Are there any other schools that you would add to the list? Maybe Emory and UCLA?

Hey there,
Well I tend to think of schools in terms of ranges. As for which SPECIFIC schools to advise you on that I will need your criteria:
- Big or small?
- Location preferences?
- Case study/hands on or mixed?
- Other considerations

In general, for your profile I would say your total range is schools ranked about 5-30. where the schools 5-15 will be a bit of a stretch, and 15-30 would be solid. Within that range, you should select a spread of schools.
